Chemistry scavenger hunt

Today in class we did a fun scavenger hunt searching for chemistry facts around the classroom with a buddy.  Well done Charlotte and Emma, first finished.  

We have really enjoyed our science topic this term.

 

Market Day!!

We held our yearly market day yesterday and today at interval for those doing the Homework Challenge. Well done to those children who made things to sell, managed your stall and money and raised a donation to give to your chosen charity!! From Room Rata, children sold things from sweets, muffins and guess the jellybeans, to jewellery, bookmarks, and art. WELL DONE!

Today Charlie impressed us all with one of his homework challenges, a go kart he made all by himself! Well done Charlie!  We all got to have a go on it, even Mrs McGovern and Mr Moyle!

Share the road - logging truck visit!

Today we had a logging truck visit our school to teach us about safety.  We even got to beep the loud horn!

We have had some special visitors this week in news time, a parrot, dog and a large centipede! 

Chloe's project

Chloe has been busy these past few weeks creating some very interesting projects to show the class.  Today she showed us her volcano model and we got to see it explode!

Rata's Fun Day!

Today we had an extra fun day in class to celebrate a successful, hard working year.  We had movies, a shared lunch, treasure hunt, and played with a range of technology.

Africa day

Today was Africa day at school, to raise money for Harold and the life education trust. Campbell brought along a paper bat for everyone, and demonstrated how to make one too.

BREAKING NEWS!

We were lucky to win a competition (thanks to Grace) to have Paul and Rachel from Classic Hits and the Unison power man to visit our class today. They talked to us us out power safety, gave us free stuff, and recorded us to be on the radio tomorrow morning!!

Solar system art

We have been doing lots of art in class, using paper mâché to create planets and the asteroid belt. We have been having so much fun with making them. Learning about the solar system is awesome. Here are some pics below.
